The authors collaborated with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents to develop the HSI Agents Field Guide to the Federal criminal Code, 2022 - 2023 edition. The book includes selected parts from the United States Code, titles 8, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 31, 46, 49, and 50 which represent the laws most pertinent to HSI. It combines four large law books into one handbook resulting in a savings of over $130 (82%) versus purchasing the individual books. The laws are listed through quick use formatting, internal cross-referencing, and detailed indexing. A glossary of definitions relates specifically to the laws found in the handbook. The HSI Agents Field Guide to the Federal Criminal Code is a durable handheld quick use legal reference made to be carried in a briefcase or glove box. It is the only book that combines into one reference all the Federal laws relevant to Homeland Security Investigations. Rounded corners, a slim design, and sturdy cover makes this a useful and tough companion. The book uses a “quick access” format that lists similar or associated offenses when reviewing a law, added information to clarify references to statutes found in the legal elements, authors’ notations to aid in the application of a law and a thorough detailed index. A comprehensive glossary is provided to define terms and phrases used in the laws found in the book. As an added feature, the code number for the source of the definition is cited.
